Special emphasis is given to the global processes that generate weather patterns. Other terminology includes: conduction, convection, radiation, thermometer, barometer, air pressure, winds, anemometer, sea breeze, land breeze, doldrums, trade winds, prevailing westerlies, polar easterlies, and jet streams.
