From the: Electricity and Magnetism Series

Students will learn how electric currents create magnetic fields, and about the application of electromagnets in electric motors and other machines. The process of inducing a current into a wire via electromagnetic induction, and the use of generators and transformers helps students understand the source and control of electricity they use in their homes. Other terminology includes: motor, current, induction, solenoid, galvanometer, and transformers.

"Each concept is clearly illustrated via well-paced narration and through a variety of crisp graphics, demonstration, and animation." -- School Library Journal July 2000
