[Review of Exploring Freshwater Biomes Title] This short video provides a basic introduction to freshwater biomes. Questions about freshwater characteristics are posed, and narration and film footage illustrate the responses. Topics covered include how freshwater differs from saltwater; the plants and animals that inhabit freshwater; and a comparison and contrast of various freshwater environments such as lakes, ponds, and wetlands. After a short summary, a "video assessment" poses questions about the topics. DVD extras include a glossary, slides, and English subtitles. A fine introduction to freshwater biomes for classroom use.
