Earth in Action Series

Specifically designed for the middle school science classroom, this 4-part series will help instructors teach difficult to understand concepts, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and inspire the minds of students. Content is aligned to the curriculum and will help students prepare for the standardized science tests. Each 20-minute video includes on-screen questions, vocabulary words, and a 10-question quiz. The time saving teacher’s guide includes student-learning objectives, standards correlations, lesson plans, preliminary and post assessments, laboratory investigations, and vocabulary activities. Integrate media assets into lesson plans by showing the entire 20-minute videos, short clips, or multiple animations and images. Custom multi-media formats include h.264 for iPods, Windows Media video, and DVD.

"This extremely well done series uses excellent live-action footage and computer graphics to hold viewers' attention. The information is presented clearly and logically, and the female narration is outstanding...The excellent teacher's guide for each video includes student worksheets and answer keys." -- School Library Journal February 2004
